Can I use the text this site generates commercially?
Yes. The output is built from standard Unicode characters rather than a licensed font, so there is no licence attached to what you generate. You may not use styled text to impersonate others, evade moderation or harass people.
By using this site you agree to the terms below. They are deliberately short and written in plain language, because a term nobody can read protects nobody.
Nothing here is legal advice, and nothing here is a substitute for your own judgement about where you work and what your audience expects.
What you can do with the output
The text and images this site produces are yours. Use them for personal or commercial purposes, published or unpublished, without attribution and without permission.
The output is built from characters in the Unicode standard rather than from a licensed typeface. There is no font licence attached to what you generate and no royalty owed on it.
Where a style depends on a particular typeface's design, such as Old English and other blackletter styles, the result is a Unicode character that resembles that typeface. It is not a copy of the typeface itself, which is why it carries no licence terms.
What we ask you not to do
Do not use styled, invisible or obfuscated text to impersonate another person or organisation. If someone cannot tell who is really writing, that is deception, whatever the intention behind it.
Do not use these tools to evade moderation, filters or bans on a platform. Filters exist for reasons, and routing around them puts you outside the rules of every service here.
Do not use them to harass, threaten or target anyone. This includes baiting, pile-on campaigns and hiding abusive text behind characters a human cannot read.
Do not use them for fraud or phishing: fake account names, spoofed customer support messages, or links disguised as something they are not.
Do not present generated images as photographs or as the work of a person other than yourself.
What this site does not promise
The site is provided as is. We do not guarantee it will be available, uninterrupted or free of defects, and we may change or remove features without notice.
Styled text may render differently, or not at all, in applications we do not control and cannot test against. If a style matters to you, check it in the app you intend to use before relying on it.
We do not guarantee that a given style will be accepted by any particular platform. Platforms change their filters and their rendering without warning.
Your content and your privacy
The text you type is processed in your browser and is not sent to us or stored. We cannot see it, so we cannot disclose it, and we cannot restore it if you lose it.
The only information about you this site holds is the anonymous page view counts described on the privacy page. There is no account, no profile and no way for us to identify you.
